I met up with Sarah and Ross last weekend for their engagement photos. We started in the Arts District, exploring the alleys and textures that the area had to offer and ended at Ross’s Landing (appropriate name, eh?) where they went on their first date. After they get married this summer, they will be moving to another state while Ross is in grad school, so it was great to be able to capture them in the city where they met and fell in love. They were so sweet together, and I wish them tons of happiness! Enjoy a glimpse into our time together:

Together since high school, these two are so thrilled to be tying the knot this June. I met up with Lucy and Colby last week to document this exciting season for them and had such a great time watching their interaction together. They are the perfect blend of feeling comfortable around each other while still being very much in love. It was great! Enjoy a glimpse into the session:

When Rachel e-mailed me with her and Andrew’s story, I could hardly wait for their session to arrive. They are actually in the process of re-locating to Chicago (side note: where my Andrew’s family is from!), so we wanted to be sure to capture them in one of their favorite settings together before the big move. And, while the Marietta Square is absolutely a popular spot for engagement photos, it has special meaning for them as they actually met at MacCracken’s on the Square. I could go on, but enjoy a glimpse into our afternoon and, more importantly, into their story:

Thanks again for a great time!

It is always such a privilege for me when I am asked to step into someone’s home and document their family together, and it is one of the things I love most about my job. Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Lane family. Their adult children, who are spread out on opposite sides of the country now, were both in town visiting family, making it the perfect time for a family photo session. Despite the overcast morning, we had a great session that was filled with laughter. The Lanes are definitely a family that enjoys being around each other and having a good time! Before we get to the family photos, though, we had to take some shots of their son and new wife, recently back from their honeymoon! Enjoy a glimpse~

Thanks again for a wonderful session!

anyone who knows april knows that she is amazingly gifted at making others feel valued, uplifted, and excited about life. we have been friends since college days, and she is easily one of the most encouraging people i know. in fact, she was super instrumental in me starting my business and continues to be one of my biggest supporters in photography. when i found out that she and will were engaged (hurray!), i was thrilled to do their engagement photos! while i am not a wedding photographer, i do love to photograph love and this engagement session was full of just that. i had a blast watching the two of them interact and seeing how crazy will is about april was too fun. enjoy a glimpse~
